Let’s start dueling!
As promised, Loud and Mental did not remain just a glorified card collection engine for the Split Infinity Radio lore and history. We now have a full fledged game out for you, where you can pit your collected cards against the cards of others!
We are currently in an Open Beta phase so some things are still disabled and bugs might be encountered but we have a watchfull eye on them to fix as inhumanly possible!
What you can do
Go through the interactive tutorial
Dorian will pick you by the hand and guide you step by step on how to play the game. You can interrupt the tutorial any time and pick it up later, or jump directly to a specific lesson if you need to repeat it.
Build your playlists
Create decks of cards (Playlists) in the Card Builder using either your owned cards, or borrowed cards from the entire collection.
As good deck building is an artform, there’s lots of room for trial and error. But if you want a helping hand, you can buy one of the six starter premade decks which adds both the premade playlist in your deck builder AND the cards you need for it.
Play vs a station Pet
You can elect to play against a pet using either a regular or a borrowed deck. This is useful as practice until you get the hang of the game. You can elect to disable the play timers while you familiarize yourself with the game, the cards and their mechanics.
Play vs pets are also a good chance to test how good your playlists play and flow
Create or Join a game table
Game tables are casual matchups against other players. You can set the rules of the game such as Timer duration, Duel or best of 3/5/7 matches. You can create a table and leave while waiting for others to join. Our Discord bot will notify you the moment a player joins (provided of course that you have your Discord account linked in your profile).
Play the actual game!
From start to finish! It’s working! Might need some small polish here and there or QoL additions as we gather more feedback from you!
Spectate a game
Yes! If the match creator allows it, you can spectate any ongoing match!
Join Tournaments
Every day there are three tournaments spread across the day to accommodate all timezones. Tournaments have an entrance fee, award Wasabit and booster prizes to the winners, require at least 4 players to start and a few hours commitment as multiple rounds will be played in Swiss and single elimination formats.
Tournament participation requires prior registration as their start time is fixed. Tournaments with less than 4 players registered will not start and entrance fees get refunded.
Our Discord bot will also notify you when your next match is about to start.
What you cannot do (yet)
Play ranked matches
While the engine for ranked matches is ready and in place, we have disabled access to it during Open Beta to safeguard your ranking score. Once Loud and Mental is officially released, you will be able to climb the ranks in cutthroat competition.
Advance in the leaderboard brackets
Since ranked play is disabled so is seasonal ranking. It will be available at launch too
View your player profile and match history
We have disabled keeping statistics so that everyone starts at the same time upon launch.
Play on your mobile device
The game client is graphically heavy which would cause your phone or tablet’s browser to struggle and crash. In addition as the cards are text heavy, the limited size of the phone screens would render the game next to impossible to see, much less play or enjoy.
We might release a separate native app for it in the future if Loud and Mental gains traction, but for the moment there are no plans for mobile device support.

Buy Starter Playlists
Six Starter Playlist packs have been added to the shop. One for every pet team. Packs contain 60 cards and their playlist recipe that gets added directly to your Deck Builder and abailable playlists so you can just buy and play without the deck building hassle step, if you’re not ready for it yet.
Starter Playlists have predefined cards and each pack contains 3 unique legendary cards. Quite a good bang for your buck!
What we need from you…
..is to play the game and participate! No matter how good a game might be, if it doesn’t have players to play with or against, it becomes boring fast. Pet games can be enjoyable only for so long!
So get in there, play, coordinate games with other players in Discord and report any bugs, issues, feedback and suggestions in Discord.
