Hot on the Heels of Activision's Metallica game Harmonix and EA have announced that 12 downloadable songs from the mighty Iron Maiden will be available for Rock Band. The songs will be downloadable content for the Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 and Wii.
This is Iron Maiden's second entery into the world of video gaming...anyone remember the on rails shooter Ed Hunter? But this time it's one that's sure to excite metal fans and as someone who has seen Maiden live more than once personally I can't wait for this one to come out.
The DLC is due out on the 9th June...unfortunately not at 11:58pm and is to include 8 studio and 4 live tracks from the Flight 666 DVD that came out last year.
These are the tracks you can expect:
Aces High (live)
2 Minutes to Midnight
The Trooper
Wasted Years
The Number of the Beast
Run to the Hills
Can I Play With Madness
The Clairvoyant
Powerslave
Fear of the Dark (live)
Hallowed Be Thy Name (live)
Iron Maiden (live)

A Dead Rising 2 trailer has been released and is now doing the rounds on our favourite video hosting friend YouTube.
It was hoped that the video would be shown at this weeks E3, which is going on now as I speak but unfortunately not it seems. The game, which is to be released by Capcom later in the year is the 2nd Dead Rising game and the video shows some very pretty and much improved graphics over the original and is set in a neon drenched Vegas-esque town so expect to be able to smack the denizens of the undead with roulette wheels and to do unspeakable things with the craps table. Capcom seem proud of their sea of zombies that allegedly totals 7,000 on screen. Now let's just hope they've addressed the tiny text issue for those of you without the luxury of HD.
But anyway, take a look at it here.

Next week's E3 will be seeing Sony's new entry to the world of handheld gaming. Yes the PSP Go is set to be unveiled at the conference next week, and it also looks like all those rumours were true. It's going to have a slider screen and will be UMD-less. The handheld will include 16GB of memory as well as Bluetooth support and a memory card slot.
There will be an official announcement made next week, but it seems the PSP Go won't be a replacement for the PSP 3000 and will be sold alongside the older model and also hitting stores in Q3 this year
There will be more information on this as and when I get it, but in the meantime there is a video showing the machine in action, and as long as you can excuse the dodgy sound quality can be viewed here.

Sure it's a long title we're suckers for things that rhyme. Apparently Pirates, the non-Somalian ship boarding kind, are suckers for the Sims 3 as it has become pirated faster than last 2008's Spore which was touted as the "most pirated game of the year."
Bloomberg is reporting that the illegal torrent has been downloaded around 180,000 times since it was made available. Now if you calculate the average MSRP per box assuming that each download would have been one purchase then that comes out to around 9 million USD in losses for EA.

Gaming Shogun has reported that Activision has finally dropped its official line up for E3 2009, which begins next week. They aren't showing off a lot of games this year, but the games they are showing off seem to be pretty promising. The list is as follows:
- Modern Warfare 2
- Guitar Hero 5
- Blur
- Tony Hawk: RIDE
- Prototype
- Singularity
