Heres a brief overview of two interesting pieces of news from the realms of the gaming world. First up; Avalanche Studios has announced that a demo for their forthcoming action game "Just Cause" will be released on August 24th for Xbox 360 and PC. This game looks pretty awesome and if you haven't seen the video yet check it out, it's the upcoming, GTA/Pilotwings type game (.wmv).

Moving on and Valve have announced that their going to tinker around with Counter-Strike:Source, apparently "moving the game forward" so now when you look directly at an enemy for a long enough time for their name to appear on your screen, everyone on your team will be able to see that enemy in the radar. Anyone who plays css will know this is a major update for the game it regards to gameplay. The patch also comes with a HDR-lit version of Train.

It has been revealed what the countdown timer on the recent Vivendi website was actually counting down too. Previously the only clue was "COMBAT is coming", with a countdown timer which now has just over two days left. It is now known that it is counting down to the release of a multiplayer version of the PC first-person shooter F.E.A.R. and will be released via the internet totally free. Gamers hoping to grab the multiplayer title will need a keycode, which can be had by completing the form on the official game website. Combat will include 19 maps, 12 weapons, 10 game modes and anti-cheating software.
