OK, so it wasn't really that long ago, but we have left our mark on the likes of Facebook and Myspace, and if you feel the need to stalk your favourite DJ's then check after the break to find out how.

Yesterday the lovely folks at Valve gave us Alien Swarm for FREE.
Available free of charge, the game thrusts players into an epic bug hunt featuring a unique blend of co-op play and squad-level tactics. Along with the game get the complete code base for Alien Swarm that features updates to the Source engine as well as the SDK.
Having put a couple of hours into this game last night it feels like a over head version of Left 4 Dead. It's quicker paced and can be very challengeing. There is only one campgain implemented currently, but with a SDK released with the game there is sure to be no shortage of third party content.
Crowd Control Productions (CCP), the company behind the MMO EVE Online, has responded to concerns raised by players of their game and the Council of Stellar Management (CSM), the player-elected representative board which recently completed a summit in Iceland.
After the most recent CSM summit, many players have expressed concerns that CCP has devoted significant resources to ongoing development projects, including major expansions to EVE Online and related projects, while not giving enough attention to problems with the current state of the game.
After the minutes of the June CSM meetings were published, a significant number of players complained that too much attention was going into new content and features while existing problems were being neglected. Some have even gone so far as to call for the CSM to be disbanded.
1.) Practice basic hygiene daily.
You are going to be shoved into a room with thousands of people up close and personal every day of the convention. As such, nobody really wants to deal with a sweaty, stinky mass of humanity. Please. Save everyone's noses. Shower and use deodorant at a minimum daily. Teeth brushing is also a good thing.
2.) Wear comfortable shoes.
Yes, you look really cute in those 3" heels. Unfortunately you're probably going to want to die after a couple hours on the first day. Save your dogs some pain. Wear sneakers or something you might go running in.
3.) Don't carry a ton of stuff with you.
Carrying around your laptop and your DS and your PSP etc sounds like a great idea. Until you have it around your neck or on your back for several hours straight. Keep it minimal. But do carry a bottle of water! On the plus side, it leaves you more room to haul out swag!
