The last Splinter Cell game was very quick to add stylish content with FMV’s playing on walls, text appearing as if by magic on buildings, pavements and suchlike. But Ubisoft hadn’t gone the whole hog with keeping up with the cool kids until now. It’s just been announced that an action figure based on the game’s hero.

Made by NCEA, the figure is apparently “not quite ready” yet but it will come equipped with weapons and a removable flak jacket. Of course, the figure will have his trademark goggles and be based on Sam’s look in the latest game. The face may not be quite right, but still it’s a pretty good effort and will be hitting stores in October.

Team Fortress 2 achievement grinders get a surprise when playing on a new achievement map...

Out of nowhere, a yowl rolls across the map, people turn and say "what was that noise?" and from the massive maw of the hole that suddenly appears at the edge of the map climbs...

A massive laser death cat that eats people, shoots bees that from its mouth, and throws you in the pond with the icthyosaurs.

Yes, it is THAT awesome.

Laser Death Kitty appears to start KITTYGEDDON!

Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers

When I was alerted to the imminent release of "Duels of the Planeswalkers" on PC I jumped at it.  After all, £7 isn't a high price tag compared to the cost of purchasing all the physical cards.  Having been developed and released on the XBox 360 for a year I was glad to get my hands on the game in a platform I could enjoy.  Besides, Free Cell has stolen my "waiting for other people to get their act together in MMOs" time and something else that isn't quite so shameful to play would be good.

So, I've reviewed Sega's Alpha Protocol for this very site, check after the break to see the lowdown on Segas spy effort! As ever this is all my own opinion and not the opinion of the entire station....yes that does mean the review is potentially less than complimentary.
