Yes, it is THAT awesome.
PC Gamer did an article on it after the freaks at Facepunch Studios got themselves a copy of the map, decompiled it and spent hours trying to figure out how to trigger Kittygeddon, (another thread here). The word from these guys is that it's a really well-done map with a LOT of custom work and particle effects (OH GOD BEES).
After speculation that Valve was behind this map, as they don't really like achievement grinders or achievement maps, Robin Walker noted that they were NOT the source, but that they were in tears of laughter watching the video of it.
Valve has put out the call for the author of the map to contact them so they can give him an award of some type- probably a custom weapon or something of the sort.
Frankly, he deserves it for giving the community such a moment of perfectly blended win and awesome!
