For those of you who enjoy nothing better than causing automobile mayhem over in Liberty City then you'll be pleased to know that October 29th sees the release of the second DLC for Rockstar's GTA 4, The Ballad of Gay Tony. And just to tease us all a handful of screenshots have been released.
It's quite a surprise that with the current trend of game release dates slipping into next year that The Ballad of Gay Tony is still scheduled for it's October release, but saying that GTA IV had already suffered more than it's fair share of release date slippage when it came out way back in April last year.
Not only does the DLC add a new storyline to the already huge game but it also adds new characters, vehicles and also those much anticipated parachuting sequences.
Feast your eyes on the screenshots for now, and be prepared for the official first trailer which is due to be released on September 1st.
Just like The Lost and Damned, the Ballad of Gay Tony DLC will cost 1600 Microsoft Points and will be another XBOX 360 exclusive.

First off I'd like to thank those who participated in last Wednesdays Challenge and those people are Crossczech, Beauthegamer, and DJ Verve who will all walk away with some delicious wasabits....except for Verve, no soup for you. Now that thats out of the way I would like to remind you all that you can submit flash games for Workless Wednesday reviews here just like Crossczech did and you may just see your game on the front page and some wasabits in your pockets.
Moving on I would like to start this review with stating that sometimes the simplest ideas can become the greatest challenges. I say this mostly in refference to This Is The Only Level which is designed by jmtb02 and produced by Armor Games. Jmtb02 is also the mastermind behind some favorites as the game Hedgehog Launch, which we mentioned in last weeks article, and one of the best games of 2008 Achievement Unlocked. The basic point of the game is to get from point A to point B as quickly and death free as possible...however there is a catch. Said catch is that they don't outright tell you how to get from point A to point B and some of the levels can be very tricky indeed.
More After The Break
Bringing you an update on the last story concerning the 360 price drop, we now have proof! That's right you'll be happy to find that this Target ad shows that the Elite will be $299 and the Pro (discontinued SKU, less prone to RROD btw) will be at $250! Now these are the last 360 Pro's and they will be coming with the 60GB HDD instead of the old 20GB version. Also keep in mind that if you're looking to grab an Elite that COMES with an HDMI cable you might wanna go jump on this deal ASAP as the new Elite SKUs will no longer be shipping with one.
We can't wait to see the scramble of crazed fans clawing each others eyes out trying to get one of these. Bring the popcorn, they'll bring the pain.
At one point all of about five or six years ago we would have all still considered Sony a giant in the gaming world even WITH the release of the XBOX. These days we consider them to be simply unprofitable. Kaz Hirai told The Times Online that the PS3 slim is still sold at a loss relative to manufacturing cost. We find this an irony especially when they're using more cost efficient parts and it has already been reported that the manufacturing cost has dropped almost 70%. Again we state the fact that they would have been better off just releasing something like this from the get go at around this price point, or even waiting out the BluRay boom to sync price points with already manufactured quantities instead of sex the money right out of the general consumers pocket. It's a wee bit of an irony that their last generation system is the only thing holding up thier next gen system's head above the water. Face it folks, if people stop buying PS2 games and PS2s we all know it's not going to be because they're replacing them with PS3s.
Sony, you would have been better off with a large hit from the beginning as all business models are. You would have recouped your gains. We think you should fire your consultants and hire some of us. We're not talking smack but we think a monkey with a TI-82 could better prodict the current market trends and gaming fads. In fact, we got $5 on it.
