WoW...thats a lot of Bears.

Looks like Blizzard's got some updating going on. With the new patch release those tree hugging hippies known as the Druids will be getting new art for their cat and beat forms! How cool is that? Now we've only seen the look for the Tauren Bear Form but the other forms will most likely be released in the coming weeks as we move towards the next patch. A small image can be found above and the larger version of said image can be found HERE.

Another name for it was the Tune of Homosexual Frankie but it just didnt flow...

With E3 right around the corner the gaming world is pumping out products left and right. Turns out Rockstar has finally announced the second chapter of thier XBOX 360 exclusive content for GTA 4. The second episode will be entitled The Ballad of Gay Tony and is set to release this Fall. They were gonna call it the "Song of Really Effeminent Sal" but it just didnt have the right ring to it.

The Ballad of Gay Tony will be available as a lone purchase from XBL of in a nice little double pack that will be in retail stores this fall. The pack will be called "Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City." If purchased through XBL the price of the episode will be $19.99 USD but if you opt for the double pack you'll save some money netting the set of TBoGT and The Lost and the Damned for $39.99 USD.

September 4th sees new movie, Gamer hitting the cinemas. The film stars Gerard Butler, Kyra Sedgwick and Chris "Ludicris" Bridges and is set in the all too familiar near future world with a dubious penal correction ethic.

This world has a new entertainment medium where MMOs combine with mind control and focuses on fictional (at least for now) game Slayers. The twist being that Slayers is an ultraviolent FPS where the combatants aren't digital creations but real people on Death Row with the opportunity to go free after 30 "wins."

Butler stars as the main character and the game's champion, who is being forced to kill all and sundry by the game's owner and the boy playing the game by controlling him.

Is this just a cross between The Dirty Dozen, Tron and Running Man, but with more guns and less nazis and frisbees? Is it a damning indictment of videogame violence? Is it Hollywood just cashing in on games again?

And will there be that predictable and “heartfelt” scene about 20 minutes before the end where Butler goes all emo on the kid and makes him see the error of his ways and they decide to go after the “real” bad guy together? Well that one is pretty much set in stone.

September 4th will give us all the answers to these questions, but in the meantime feast your eyes on the latest trailer in full HD here.

Recently a pair of episodic Watchmen games were released and have received a pretty lukewarm reception across the board. But in a bold and quite possibly trendsetting move it seems that PS3 owners will be able to get the game included in a very awesome Blu-ray hybrid package.

Watchmen, The End is Nigh Complete Experience will be one of the first Blu-ray discs to offer a video game and movie in a single package. A special edition of Stranglehold on PS3 included a copy of Hard Boiled and there are rumours of a Ghostbusters movie/game package in the future too. The package will include the Director's Cut of the Watchmen film which will also be stretched out by another 28 minutes and will also include The End is Nigh Parts 1 and 2. as well as featuring exclusive artwork and packaging.

The End is Nigh may have had a less than enthusiastic reception as well as middling review scores, but this is encouraging and interesting, maybe even revolutionary news. After all the concept of a game and film package for one low price is an attractive offer with lots of possibilities, just imagine Star Wars with KOTOR or Arkham Asylum with Batman Returns, now just keep your fingers crossed that Sex and the City isn't a planned game in the dark recesses of Sony's imagination.

Once upon a time in a funny country full of funny people with funny accents lived a Queen. And this Queen was the luckiest Queen in the whole wide world because she received a very special present that granted her powers beyond her wildest dreams.

OK, so it wasn't quite as fanciful as that but HRH The Queen of England has just received a free gold-plated Wii and a copy of THQ’s BIG Family Games as a gift/publicity stunt from THQ.

THQ said in a press release that “Her Royal Highness will be able to play through the game as a single player or get Princes Philip, Charles, Harry, and William, and even Camilla, involved when playing in multiplayer mode. HRH will even be able to create customisable characters for herself and the rest of the family.”

Personally, I'd have thought Mad World or Dead Rising would have been more the Queen's kind of game, and I'm pretty sure the housework will suffer as soon as she discovers the addictive nature of Boom Blox, just please nobody send her a PSP and Patapon, otherwise she'll never be able to run the country.....or something.

Anyway, after the break is the full press release from THQ, so read and enjoy.
