I’m VERY excited about this game – not surprising since I’ve been following its development for ages now – and today marks the next step in the games release as the folks over at Chucklefish games have just opened up pre-orders for the space exploration adventure title.

Following a tiered scheme, potential buyers are able to choose which level they want to buy, with the cheapest resting at $15 that grants beta access and a steam key for the game’s final release, all the way up to the crazy $2000 option that allows you to essentially live inside the game (as a statue at least).

If you have a hankering for some space exploration, head on over to the Starbound website to get your pre-order today.

Don’t know what Starbound is? Check it out here.

EDIT: It would appear there are going to be goals released for reaching certain milestones of pre-order funding, with an entire new race concept flying in out of nowhere – currently draped over the summary ticker as a tasty treat – promising to add a new race called 'the Novakid' into the game if the funding reaches a goal of $500,000. This may be easier than you think, as whilst I’m currently writing this, the grand total is already at a whopping $285.453.

Alongside the announcement of the new race, those dastardly fellows have also released an entire bio page dedicated to the planned race, which can be found here

Prepare to run in terror and cry like you’ve never cried before, it’s time for you to die....again. That is of course if you are the kind of person who enjoys fighting against unforgivable lairs full of traps and monsters just waiting to grind you into a bloody pulp.

Yes folks we’re talking about Dark Souls 2, the sequel to the popular sadomasochistic dungeon exploring death simulator brought to us by the evil guys at From Software. Lately we have seen more and more information slowly trickle out like an oozing wound about the next instalment, and today’s no different as I happened to stumble upon a video containing 12 minutes of gameplay footage courtesy of the guys at IGN. Click the full story to watch the video & see how you will be dying...

From up on poppy hill

This past week I was able to sit down with my mother and watch one of Hayao Miyasaki's latest films, From Up On Poppy Hill. It never ceases to amaze me the level of creativity and moral issues that Studio Ghibli puts into their films.

It's time to celebrate awesome new music again with this month's Song of the Month. It comes courtesy of new act MS:MR and is called "Bones". Imagine a female Nick Cave and you wouldn't be far off the mark with this one.

You can even thank DJ Cookie for finding this gem, not me this month. So click on the video below to check out the song and enjoy!
