The second season to Toary Kagaku no Railgun, title Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S, premieres April 12th in Japan. Funimation has picked up the streaming rights and will start streaming on April 14th at 1130am EDT.
The second season will follow the Sisters Arc, which lasts only a single volume in the Toaru Majutsu no Index light novels. The arc focuses on the ordeals of Mikoto Misaka after discovering the existence of the Radio Noise sisters that are being used in the Level 6 Shift, an experiment where they are killed in order for the highest-ranking Level 5, Accelerator, can achieve Level 6.
For those who have never watched/read the Toaru Kagaku no Railgun series... The series follows Misaka Mikoto, a top level esper of Academy City, which is a highly developed place in terms of technology. It is said to be 20 to 30 years ahead of the rest of the world, and 80% of its 2.3 million residents are students. The focus of studies here is directed towards esper powers. Misaka Mikoto and her friends, Kuroko Shirai, another high level esper who is a member of Judgement, Kazari Uiharu, is a low level esper who studies at Sakugawa middle school, and Ruiko Saten, a level zero, one who has no esper powers, encounter several adventures in the exciting scientific town.
I HIGHLY recommend this series and its predecessor, Toaro Majitsu no Index.
How many of you remember stomping around Final Fantasy VI with Terra in the Magitek armor on the SNES? #raiseshand!!! Seriously one of the most memorable parts of the game... aside from the Opera House... of course.
Square Enix has just released a video showing the implementation of the Magitek Armor for Final Fantasy XIV! Not only do they look badass but the artwork is reimiscent of the original Japanese artwork from Final Fantasy VI! This alone would make me want to pick up FFXIV.
The first phase of the beta test will open on Monday and there is a possibility that SE is open for the "discussion" of making the game for PS4
