Long answer: A port of the gazillion times favoured Quake III arena into a browser plugin. Essentially you play Quake through your browser, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Quake Live launched yesterday and already there are tens of thousands of players waiting in queue to download the plugin.

Darkfall's NDA has been officialy lifted, and the first waterfall of information, screenshots and videos have been reaching forums and game sites around the world. As the launch day is a mere 5 days away from the time of writting this post, Aventurine has opened up preorders.

It so seems that Aventurine -the company behind the upcoming mmorpg Darkfall- underestimated the mangituted of interest and demand their game would stir even before its beta stage.As gamer's anticipation is growing by the minute, Darkfall's lead developer Tasos Flambouras, announced in a forum post that the release date of the game has been pushed back to February 25th. Meanwhile, the first wave of beta invites has been sent, and the game is right now under heavy beta and stress testing.
