Even though it's well over a year old and met with rather a lot of derision over it's always online shenanigans, Blizzard are bringing Diablo 3 out on PS3 later this year and have announced a pre-order bonus that you can get for the game. The bonus is an excvlusive item that you can get by pre-ordering at Gamestop, Amazon or Wal-Mart. The item is the "Infernal Helm" which may sound like the name of a bad '80s metal band but is in fact an XP boosting helmet that trancends class and level, meaning anyone can use it at any time, which is always good during those awkward early and starting levels.

Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime. said that "We've poured blood, sweat, and hellfire into creating an epic Diablo 3 experience for PlayStation gamers" and added about the game's improvements and tweaks that "We got a ton of positive feedback from players who tried the game at PAX East, and we can't wait to get it into everyone's hands later this year."

These tweaks designed especially for the console version include local and online multiplayer for up to four people and improved boss fights. No release date has been announced yet, but as soon as it is, we'll be sure to let you know.

Aspiring hackers and anarchists out there take note, as today marks the official announcement of Ubisoft’s latest open world action game - Watch Dogs. November 22^nd this year is the fateful release date planned for this innovative take on the open world genre, with collectors editions planned for release alongside the standard edition.

“But WTF is Watch Dogs?!” you say, well let me implant some knowledge into your data cores. Watch Dogs follows the story of Aiden Pearce, a man crossed by some not so pleasant people in the city of Chicago. Armed with a sophisticated device that grants him the ability to hack almost all electronic devices, Aiden is able to manipulate the world around him as he carves a path of destruction through the city streets on his vengeful mission to make his enemies pay.

Green Heart Games is an indy games development studio that has just released their first game called "Game Dev Tycoon". As you have probably guessed, the game is a game-dev simulator. What is peculiar about this game though, is that the developers did not wait for the pirates to crack their game and distribute it on the usual channels. Instead, they released their own "cracked" version of the game and "leaked" it on torrent sites.

And then the plot thickens...

This week saw Valve announce the latest advancement of their community content focus in the shape of 7 player-made maps being hosted on official dedicated servers. These maps were selected from some of the highest rated user created maps currently being hosted on the Steam Workshop and in an attempt to promote these maps and reward their creators Valve have released them all to the public for a very affordable $2.99 – with the authors receiving a share of the income for their work.

Those who buy the Season pass to the community maps will be able to take players into the new maps even if the other players have not purchased the pass, which means you won’t have to argue over map packs. Participants of Operation Payback will also be given a ‘one-of-a-kind’ challenge coin, upgradable by playing and viewable wherever their avatars are shown.
