Yes, ladies and gents, it seems that the one and only highly anticipated FREE MMOFPS game Huxley IS BACK. Originally announced back in 2005 we were giving the promise of seriously epic 100 v 100 shoot outs. Unfortunately since then it seemed that the game had fallen not only off the radar but under the table drunk and passed out with marker all over its face.

But oh no, we here at Split Infinity haven't forgotten the promises of said crazy gun fights of a future distopian era! It seems the games developers have avoided most general media and press with the recent announcement of the closed beta registations being opened.

Sign up will be between 5/6/2009 - 5/20/2009 and the players will be announced on 5/27/2009. Test period will last from 6/3/2009 - 6/14/2009 from 2PM to 10PM PDT.

Andy Hong, project manager for Huxley: The Dystopia said in a recent interview that,

"Huxley has been polished up and is now loading faster than ever. Huxley is still set for the PC and possibly on the 360 with a release at the end of 2009. Additionally, the game will be a microtransaction based."

I think we can all dig this. Let's hope they don't end up pulling an EA with those microtransactions though. Finally all of you Halo players don't have a reason for not trying an MMO now....and quit sitting there yelling PlanetSide. We KNOW about PlanetSide and that was fun for about an hour ok? For those going to E3 take solice in the knowledge that they will be there so go check them out!
