Apparently Dead Rising 2 will be a no show at E3 due to a Swine Flu outbreak in Osaka, Japan.

Capcom's Senior Director of Communications and Community was quoted as saying "Our Capcom guys are not coming to E3 because of the Japanese government restrictions," and that “the company is taking the advisory very seriously.”

Unfortunately Dead Rising 2 will not be at E3 but all of Capcom's other games are going to still be shown. The deciding factor on not showing Dead Rising 2 was due to Keiji Inafune and the other developers from Japan not being able to make the trip. Kramer rounded out commenting “Dead Rising 2 is the only game we won’t be able to showcase at E3, because it’s at an early stage of development and the team is not comfortable having anyone else demo the code.”

In other news, you really have to admit P.I.G. Virus sounds so much more looming than "Swine Flu" of "H1U1" or whatever else the kids are calling it these days.
