In July 2006, EVE players were treated to a groundbreaking new community resource as a select few individuals answered the call of CCP to create an internet TVcast highlighting the massive Alliance Tournament.For anyone who missed it, never fear, because the crew will be returning soon, however until then, read on for info on how to check out archived excerpts from the inaugral broadcast...
The following clips are taken from a live broadcast that Eve-Online featured in July. It was a free live broadcast reaching thousands of gamers. The Alliance Tournament was brought to you by Eve-Online’s company CCP which gave a few players the opportunity to come up with and create a show that would be aired for the internet community to see.
The Director Xyliana, the Host SpiralJunkie, Lead commentator Xod and Camera man Hinik will be returning as our main crew, but we have some new faces (and voices) for you as well for this second addition of EVETV.
The second alliance tournament will be held on the first two weekends of December. Aiming to make it bigger, more exciting and in all ways better than before. Several changes in the rules, including a points-based ship selection system, should create much needed variety in ship setups. ECM is now allowed which stirs everything up quite a bit.
Additionally, the sign-ups for the tournament in December start on November 1st. We are allowing sixty alliances to compete, so it should be one hell of a tournament.
