It seems to be a week for big gaming announcements, we've heard all about that funny little XBOX One thing, we also heard that EA might be making Wii U games after all and giving the seemingly ill fated Nintendo console a stay of execution, then today we heard all about the special and collector editions of what is looking to be the year's biggest game, GTA V.
You can expect extra items, both physical and in game which may well be enough for a cheap bastard like myself to consider spending a little more than the standard version.

The game is due out this coming September on PS3 and XBOX 360 and there will be a pilotable "Atomic Blimp" to pilot, regardless of which version of the game you pre-order. So, it's worth pre-ordering anyway because, well, blimps are cool.
But when it comes to the really special versions then this is what you'll get.
Special Edition Contents
- It'll come in a collectible steel-book with exclusive artwork and featuring "custom colour and metallic treatments"
- A Blueprint Map. This will be a 21" x 27" map which displays both the Los Santos and Blaine County areas in blueprint form
- In game special abilities. Each of the game's protagonists have their own unique special ability and this will be boosted with a 25% faster build up between uses
- There will be stunt planes, complet with stunt plane trials and challenges spread throughout Los Santos and Blaine County
- Extra charancter customisation options which include bonus outfits, tattoos and other outfits wear in game for each playable character
- And if that wasn't enough, there'll be additional weapons and custom designs for free, including the Pistol .50, the Bullpup Shotgun and the wonderful sounding melee hammer
This version will sell for $80 (£53 according to Google, so I'd speculate £60 in UK money) and will be available on launch day, Septermber 17th.
Collector's Edition Contents
The collector's Edition, which comes in at $150 (Roughly £100) will include all of the above, plus a few extra goodies like these
- Security Deposit Bag with Logo Key. It's a custom money bag that has a pop-up style lock and laser cut logo key. The key's reverse side features a "pressed Rockstar Games logo on the security mount with a framed ID window"
- A "New Era 9FIFTY" snapback cap which sportss an embroidered Los Santos logo on the front and black Rockstar Games logo on the wearer's left side
- Grand Theft Auto Online custom characters which include classic Grand Theft Auto characters and extra character creation options
- Unique Vehicles and Garage Property, this will give players a garage to store custom vehicles instantly. And the special vehicles in the main game are the Hotknife hotrod and the CarbonRS sports bike. In Grand Theft Auto Online, players will get the high-end Khamelion electric car
- ANd it all comes in a special outer box, complete with a foil embossed Grand Theft Auto V logo on the top and finished with a matte, scuff-resistant film lamination.
So, which version will you buy? The game is due out on September 17th and if you go the cheap way and pre-order the standard edition you'll at least get a blimp to play with.
