Gears of War 3 DLC Incoming!

November 1st sees more excitement from Gear of War 3 and brings us all the first DLC pack for the insanely popular game.  As we know, a lot has been announced in terms of DLC for the game including new multiplayer and campaign content with the Season Pass already available for 2400 MSP. On it's own this pack will cost 800 MSP ($10 in real money) and will contain rather a lot of exciting content. Click below to find out more about what's to come.

I reported over the last cpouple of weeks that three new map names had been spotted on leaderboards (Asura, Blood Drive and Rustlung) and these maps have now been announced as more than a mere rumour. They're due to add more multiplayer content in the form of private versus matches, Hoarde and Beast modes, as well as three new characters called Onyx Guard, Big Rig Dizzy and Bernie.

Also, the DLC will add something interesting in four fortification upgrades that are designed to enhance the tower-defense aspects Horde mode. In game you'll be able to build a new fortification called the Command Center which calls in snipers, mortars and my personal favourite, the Hammer of Dawn. Also they'll be able to upgrade decoys into Onyx bots that fight for you, upgrade sentires into fire bolt sentries that are good against Berzerkers. And if that wasn't enough Silverbacks can be made into exo-suits into and Silverbacks that can fire rockets.

As I said earlier, the DLC will cost 800 Microsoft points, or $10 for those who've not bought a Season Pass  and will be available for download on November 1. Microsoft have also promised that the game will get at least three more DLC packs giving us more multiplayer and campaign content.
