What we're aiming to do today is list off the rest of the must see Summer Blockbusters and give you a few opinions on whether we think the movie is worth throwing that hard earned almighty dollar at or if you should once again spend it on blow and hookers err we mean ice cream sundaes for everyone.

Reviews After The Break
Terminator: Salvation - The Rundown:

Let's start up with the obvious upcoming blockbuster and 4th film in the long line of the Terminator series. Releasing on May 21st (see: Thursday? Fuuuu-), Terminator Salvation is the first movie that allows us to finally see into the post apocalyptic, robotic overlord run rampant, Mad Max-esque future with a pretty bad ass John Connor played by Batman err...Christian Bale. Get ready for the robot war of the future because we're about to get knee deep in motor oil. Linda Hamilton will be lending her voice to the film while The Governator himself will be "in the film" as well. Watch the trailer Here and read on.
RJ's Rants:
From the looks of this trailer I'm willing to put my 12 bucks towards an IMAX screen on this one. I think this movie could be good enough to put the last abortion of a 2 hour long played out robot fight behind me. What has been seen can be unseen as long as the next thing you see is awesome enough to burn the cornea's out of your eyeholes...or has at least 32 explosions. But seriously, I will be seeing this movie and I would have to put this down as a definite must see of the summer.
Verve's Venting:
Between the Sarah Conner Chronicles and T3, I had just about given up on this franchise; and when I learned that Christian Bale was taking the lead in the film I did give up on it. When I heard the clip of said actors freaking out, my reaction could only be described as a feeling of deep sadness for the once great franchise they were going to butcher. But after seeing this trailer, that glimmer of hope that this movie won't suck has rekindled; and maybe... just maybe, it might even be a great movie. I'm gonna wait to hear what my friends say before wasting any money on this one.
Night at the Museum 2 - The Rundown:

Moving on shall we? Next up we have the sequel to the blockbuster underdog hit "Night at the Museum," releasing May 22nd, in which Ben Stiller returns to the role of Larry Daley, night security guard. The full title of the sequel is "Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian," and it will be taking place in of course, the Smithsonian Institution which is the largest museum in the US. That's around 136 million different possibilities of things that can come alive and go bump in the night. Feel free to check out the trailer here.
RJ's Rants:
Now I can say that I am kind of excited about this movie but I'm probably not going to see it in theater. I didn't see the first one until about a year ago when I caught it On Demand through Comcast and gave it ago. I found it to definately be a fun family film that suprised me because it wasn't the normal "Ben Stiller is a kooky super angry excentric character" like he always is. If you have kids it's a must see (if not just to enjoy a nice movie) but if you're a college student I would save the money and rent the DVD.
Verve's Venting:
My initial reaction to them making this sequel was "Why?" But after seeing the trailer I can honestly say it looks like something I want to see. Something I'd pay money to see? God no. But something I want to see nonetheless. But unless I'm babysitting some childrens or some great epiphany after watching the original I don't see it happening. Perhaps I'll catch it on demand some day. Wait for the DVD.
Drag Me to Hell - The Rundown:

Second to last, but not least by any means, is the new horror film from classic Gross Out Horror and B-Movie legend Sam Raimi (Evil Dead Series, Spiderman). Returning to the horror genre after a long time gone, Raimi brings us a film called "Drag Me To Hell" releasing May 29th. The story of the movie revolves around a loan officer in LA who is living the life of perfection but one day an old lady comes in to request a home loan extension. The loan officer, in attempts to impress her boss, denies the old woman flat out. This in turn of course results in the old woman placing the curse of the Lamia on her, and hilarity err...attempts to save her soul from eternal damnation ensues. Trailer is Here.
RJ's Rants:
Even if this is a complete waste of money, as most new horror films are, you had me at "Sam Raimi."
Verve's Venting:
Up till now I've not heard a word about this movie. That's a good thing though. When it comes to modern horror movies, I'd rather be kicked in the dick than have to sit through the shit films people seem to flock to nowadays (Saw, Hostel, etc.) With any luck the gypsy curse gimmick will work once again work it's magic and leave people clutching their pillows that night hoping the scary monster doesn't bust out of their closet and eat their soul. Wait for a friend to review it before wasting your money for a seat in the theater.
Up - The Rundown:

Finally we come to the last film on the list for what's left of May's Blockbusters. Pixar, as a company, is notorious for memorable fun movies that the entire family can enjoy. From what we've seen of their next venture, which is a movie entitled simply "Up" releasing May 29th, they will once again strike gold in a sea of computer animated movies that shine in trailers and tarnish in theaters.
Pixar's "Up" focuses on Carl Fredricksen who at age 78 has decided to take up his life long dream of exploring the world. We must say that, whether it's age or just generally being excentric, Mr.Fredricksen does opt for an almost unbelievable method of travel which adds for a definite twist of fun into the story. But it seems that right when Carl has left on his journey he discovers an uninvited guest who he then takes along with him in his journey. Check out the trailer Here.
RJ's Rants:
Ok I missed seeing Wall-E in theaters and have regretted it to this day. I have to say that every movie Pixar has come out with I have seen and enjoyed more than a 24 year old man should. They always seem to bring out the kid in me and I would have to say that they never make just another kid movie. I'm willing to say this will be another great family film that will help those of you with little ones get out of the house on a boring Saturday afternoon. I say go see it, and if its available check it out in 3D.
Verve's Venting:
There's not a doubt in my mind that I'm going to see this movie in the theater. There is also no doubt that I'm going to giggle like a schoolgirl throughout it's entirety. See it in theaters, and buy the DVD when it comes out.
TL;DR?
