Late yesterday afternoon, NCSoft and Paragon Studios released a huge announcement about what's coming for City of Heroes and Villains. The next major expansion since City of Villains launch in 2005, titled City of Heroes Going Rogue.

The expansion will open up an alternate earth called Praetoria, which is a utopian mirror to our world hiding a dark secret. In this alternate reality, heroes and villains feel doubt about the side they're on, and their loyalties. While they search for the truth behind Emperor Cole and his Praetorian guard, new foes and allies emerge turning the blissful paradise into a battle ground of epic proportions.

City of Heroes Going Rogue brings an all-new alignment system that explores the shades of grey that lie between Heroes and Villains. This will allow Hero characters to become Vilains and vice versa, giving one of the greatest player wishes a full blown reality, the ability to change sides.
