Every Thursday during Asian Insanity, I bring you the lastest music and news from Japan and Korea. The topics of discussion this week were Warner Brother's plans for a Death Note Live action, sequel to The Legend of Zelda: A link to the past for 3DS, Tamako Market, To Aru Kagaku no Railgun S, and more.
Check it out!
Back in 2009, Warner Brothers aquired the rights to the series, Death Note. Since then no news has been spread of the supposed live action.... until now. This past week in an interview with Bleeding Cool, Iron Man 3 Director Shane Black stated that he is still involved in the planned film adaptation. No progress details were given on the project at this time.
Black's last update was at his Long Beach Comic Con panel in 2011. At the time, he stated Ryuk was added back into the script and "the creation of a villain, the downward spiral" of the main character Light was the film's focus.
I am curious to see how WB will create Ryuk and totally mess this live action up.... The japanese version was hilarious enough to watch... Hurry up and create so i can laugh my ass off.
This past week Nintendo announce its upcoming release which is tied to the classic, The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past. Titled, Zelda no Densetsu: Kamigami no Triforce 2 (The Legend of Zelda: The Triforce of the Gods 2). Zelda no Densetsu: Kamigami no Triforce was the original Japanese title of A Link to the Past.
"The new game will be set in the same world as A Link to the Past, but it will take advantage of the 3D screen of the Nintendo 3DS to give players a better sense of a dungeon or maze's multiple levels in three dimensions. It will also let players put their hero Link in 2D "Paper" mode to slide along walls and around obstacles."
Nintendo listed an early 2014 release in stores and via download for the new game in Japan, while North America will get it this holiday season.

See that bird... SEE IT? If anything, watch this anime fr that bird. This anime is Tamako Market. About a mochi makers daughter and a bird, Dera Mochiyucky, who comes here to find a bride for his prince... Its a slice of life, school comedy and honestly, the bird will seriously crack you up every episode. The anime is only 12 episode, and I felt it was a little cut short at the end leaving somethings unfinished but... its a well done anime... and... *^&$ing bird... srsly. =3
The second season of To Aru Kagaku no Railgun just picked up, and its just as good as the first season. Following Mikoto Kisaka, a level 5 esper and her adventures into the dark sides of Academy City. I absolutely loved the first season, and highly recommend that everyone watch it! Youve got scifi, suspense, school, slice of life, and a little ecchi fan service mixed in... I mean who doesnt want that?!?
