Chukei, a Kadokawa Group Publishing company, is releasing a new book that teaches junior high level mathematics with characters from A Certain Scientific Railgun manga and anime. The book uses the characters Mikoto, Kuroko, Uiharu, and Saten to drill mathematical concepts that readers may have forgotten after middle school.
The J.C. Staff animation studio drew the book's illustrations, and the book also includes screenshots from the anime. The book bundles a poster with the same art that appears on the cover.
"Chukei previously published a English vocabulary guides featuring characters from the Haruhi Suzumiya light novels to teach English.
Chukei also published books that teach chemistry with Lucky Star characters, a Physics guide featuring the My Ordinary Life anime cast, a world history book that teaches with the help of Puella Magi Madoka Magica's lead voice actress Aoi Yūki, and a text on ancient writings featuring the characters from Mitsuru Yuuki's Shonen Onmyouji light novels."
Now this... I want one. Seriously. I wanna learn math with anime characters!!!
Sega is porting the 1st Sonic the Hedgehog game to the 3DS will full stereoscopic support.
"The new version adds the spin dash move, mid-game saves, the option to skip to any stage or act freely, and the choice to play the Japanese or overseas version (with slightly different layouts and bonuses). The game even takes advantage of the stereoscopic display to allow players to recreate the rounded, bulged screen of a old CRT television. Otherwise, the update still retains the familiar six zones and speedy gameplay."
