Atari and Cryptic studios have announced the details behind pre-ordering Champtions Online. It's a short list but to be frank about it tha main reason to get your pre-order on is because not only will you recieve your retailer reward but you will receive a guaranteed entry to the open beta, which will be starting August 17tH. Now we should mention this is only confirmed for US retailers and vendors, sorry EU.

GameStop is giving players access to an Insectoid Airfoil costume piece and the Experimental Anti-Graviton Generator flight travel power at character creation.
Wal-Mart will be parting with a Limited Edition Package with collectible lenticular cover also including a zone map, iron-on decal, and ten additional Cryptic Points.
Best Buy is bringing it with an exclusive action figure in-game and a damage resistance item.
Amazon is rocking out with additional Cryptic Points, and three exclusive costume pieces: Harlequin Headpiece, Black Knight Helmet, and Grenade Chest Strap.
Champions Online will be launching in the US on September 1st, and our friends accross the pond will be able to play on September 4th as it launches in the UK.
