March has arrived, and with it comes a huge line-up of game releases. But do not fear! We’ve scoured the internet for what to expect in the coming month, and packed it all into a goodie bag of knowledge of what you can get your hands on this month. This time around we’re hitting you with a double team of content, as DJ Discord takes us on a tour through the release schedule, with moving pictures no less! More after the break...
Bioshock Infinite
The latest in the series, Bioshock infinite takes a drastic departure from the bottom of the ocean and soars into the skies, as this time around you visit the floating sky city of Columbia. The story centres on the Booker DeWitt, a former Pinkerton agent who is sent to the elevated city in the hopes of rescuing a young girl named Elizabeth from her 10 year imprisonment in the floating metropolis.
All the fan favourite elements, including the iconic plasmid powers like telekinesis, will return alongside some new ones. When Elizabeth is introduced into the mix, players will gain access to her time abilities, which allows players to ‘rip’ objects from an earlier time into reality, creating cover or environmental hazards to aid them.
Bioshock Infinite releases on March 26TH internationally on PC, PS3 & Xbox 360
SimCity
SimCity heralds the next evolution in the city-management franchise, with gameplay being brought from its humble beginnings into a truly next gen experience. The game is fully fleshed out in a 3d environment, giving you full view over your city and its citizens down to the finest of details. All this fancy new content is brought about by the games new ‘GlassBox’ engine, the debut launch of what appears to be a very polished frame for the game.
New features to the title see player customisation take a huge step forward, with many of the placed structures having add-on buildings that you can position and place around the original building to add new features to your city, or just make it look nicer with that witty billboard out front. Combine the unprecedented level of freedom with a collaborative multiplayer mode that allows players to work together by sharing important resources, like extra fire engines or waste disposal services.
However the game hasn’t had the cleanest of press lately as its launch brought about a mass uproar, leaving scores of players unable to play their beloved game on launch due to their always on DRM requiring a constant connection to the EA servers, many of which were beyond the capacity limits.
SimCity is out now for PC, with a Mac version scheduled for later in the year.
Starcraft II: Heart Of The Swarm [Expansion]
ZERRRGGGG RUUUSHHH! Yup, it’s the long awaited next instalment to Starcraft II’s planned trilogy of expansions, this time focusing on the Zerg faction and their infamous leader Kerrigan AKA the Queen of Blades. The expansion promises to expand on the current story, with 20 new campaign missions to be added for players to delve into the story behind everyone’s favourite mass murdering hive mind femme fatale.
Alongside the games new story aspects, new units and changes to existing ones are scheduled to bring a fresh take on the current gameplay, with the effects being felt most noticeably in the games popular competitive scene.

Tomb Raider
The latest instalment to the franchise takes us on the Journey of how the iconic heroine - Lara Croft - came about her unique skill set in a gritty origin story of survival, danger and peril. The game puts you in the eyes of a young Lara, as she becomes shipwrecked on mysterious island, populated by some unsavoury characters, and tasks you with surviving everything the island has to throw at you.
The game also hosts a multiplayer aspect, the first of its kind to be featured in the tomb raider franchise, which allows for team death-match style competitive matches revolving around objectives. The games platforming/shooter features are all found within the mode to add to the gameplay aspects.
Tomb Raider is out now for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360
Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate
Gotta’ flay them all! That’s right, it’s the next entry in the monster hunter series to come crashing to the western shores. Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate is a reworked version of the original monster hunter tri, which saw the debut of new environments, weapon types and the new underwater missions.
The game itself works on the principle of being a hunter, working out of a small village which is used as a hub for you to embark onto the various missions that become available to you, with the difficulty of each mission climbing as the game progresses. The game has a heavy focus on crafting/gathering various resources like plants of monster hides from your missions, which can be converted into new armor and weapons.
The series much loved multiplayer mode will also return, with an internet connection available on Wii U and local play on 3DS. There’s also some cross platform connectivity between the two consoles allowing you to pair up two consoles, however this is restricted to local play.
Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate is available on Wii U and 3DS March 19TH in the US & March 22ND in Europe.
