Seen over on PCGamer, the trailer opens with a montage of one-time Raccoon City policeman, Leon S. Kennedy, and an unnamed woman facing down the zombified former U.S. President in the RE-verse.  In one of those typical, over-dramatized moments where the protaganist must make a choice whether or not to kill someone,

the trailer quickly skips onward to the part we all know and love about the games: zombies, zombies, and more zombies!  Oh, and the occasional mutant and/or B.O.W.

 

Two other characters make themselves known during the trailer: Chris "Walking Muscle Wall" Redfield, whose mission seems to involve blowing things up in China; and an as-yet-unidentified male mercenary, of whom speculation is quite rife.  A resourceful reader of Kotaku mentioned the possibility that this mercenary could be the un-masked visage of Hunk, star of the bonus mission during the third Resident Evil game and Resident Evil Mercenaries due to the comments in the trailer to that affect.

 

The trailer hints at a world-wide epidemic, political intrigue, and more mayhem than you can shake a severed arm at, with an estimated release date of November 20, 2012 for consoles.  A PC version will follow, though when exactly that will be was not detailed.
