Funcom announced today that they're going to launch the expansion for Age of Conan on May 11th, available through retail and digital download.  It will include both the expansion and the original game.  If you buy a retail copy, you will also get a new social pet and a package of virtual items to welcome them to Hyboria.

If you pre-order you also get an in game pet, which if you're a current subscriber, you get immediately.  They're also introducing a digital Collector's Edition upgrade that gives immediate access to a flying fighting pet. The upgrade to the digital Collector’s Edition is now available through the customer account page.

And if you love game soundtracks like I do, the game soundtrack of the expansion content is simultaneously releasing, including a bonus DVD with full 5.1 surround recording. The soundtrack includes a key that will unlock a unique in-game bone flute.
