Konami is bringing us a whole new way to scare ourselves silly with games in the form of a new Silent hill game. THere's a new character, a prison and new music with a different composer this time around. Want to find out more and see Konami's trailer for the game which was debuted at the Tokyo Game Show?Want to hear the new Korn track for the game? Want to see some gameplay?
Then check it all out by clicking below.
This time the game centres around protagonist Murphy Pendleton, who has been incarcerated for several years at Ryall State Prison, and because of his less than faultless history he is being transferred to nearby Wayside Maximum Security Penitentiary. But, in what really is an atypical horror cliche, a freak accident starts off the story and sees Murphy waking up in a forest next to the wrecked bus. Obviously, smelling freedom he makes his way into the troubled town of Silent Hill where mysterious locals make him probably wish he'd have stayed on the bus and took his chances in the showers.
Called Silent Hill Downpour, the game offers the familiar survival horror gameplay and promises to expand on and improve the exploration theme Silent Hill players are used to and promises to deliver the usual kind of gory, horrific and downright scary content you'd expect.
Also, the game isn't employing the services of their usual composer Akira Yamaoka and this time has Dexter theme creator Daniel Licht in charge of the music. The main theme however comes from a brand new Korn track which can be heard in the trailer below.
