Fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series can breathe a sigh of relief today as the obscure successor to the franchise has finally made an appearance ending fears that it had all but dissolved into the radioactive wastes.
News screenshots have been placed on the official sites media section, giving us a glimpse of the current alpha-state project. Accompanying the screenshots is a complete briefing on what is currently in the game posted by a staff member on the official forums, found here.
For those of you that have no idea what Survarium is, the developers describe the game as a free2play MMOFPS game set in the near future. The game focuses on the aftermath of a massive ecological catastrophe on Earth, the reasons behind which are only vaguely known. Drawing a ton of inspiration from its spiritual predecessor, the game features a harsh game world populated with survivors in the struggle for the last resources that remain. The title will offer a blend of structured PVP play, PVE tasks involving quests and factions along with an overarching dynamic storyline for the game world that will be determined by the player’s actions.
