If there is one thing that we love here at SI Radio it the always looming possibility for a crazy over infested Zompacalypse. This is why we're always here to welcome you with the warm embrace of news when it comes to the highly anticipated sequel to one of 2006's best games - Dead Rising.
Now it has finally been comfirmed, at Capcom's Captivate 09 event in Monaco (where the hell was OUR invite HUH? wewannagotodamnmonaco), that Dead Rising 2 would have some sort of multiplayer included in the game.

The big man in R&D over at Capcom, Keiji Inafune, stated that there would be a multiplayer option contrary to the original announcement at GDC.
Inafune was slated as having said “We’re at a point in game history that you need to have some form of multiplayer component in a game,”
and that
“Single-player alone is not going to cut it. So rest assured we are going to put multiplayer in the game, but I can’t go into specifics about what type of multiplayer as that directly relates to some of the game systems that we don’t want to talk about at this event. It will be online multiplayer, so keep that in mind.”
