After a long series of game trailers, CCP surprised EVE Online players by releasing a video showcasing the sandbox model of the game, and acting as a very well directed tool to attract people to the game. Although the video has been criticized of being somewhat innacurate on wether the events described would happen or not, and on the fancy overlays and post processing effects not being part of the real game, the video has been praised and well accepted.
