It appears that Sony Pictures is picking up a pitch for a feature film adaptation of the sandbox superhero adventrue Infamous. The screenplay treatment is due to a man named Sheldon Turner. Mr. Turner is a screenwriter best known for his work on "The Longest Yard" remake.
The studio is of course currently working out the rights with help from Sony Computer Entertainment, their sister company. A prequel comic book and soundtrack to the game also have been released.
Apparently the producer will be Avi Arad. Which worries us a bit as his track record of decision both on and off comic books and movies is not one without bullet holes.
Can Hollywood manage to pull a story off around a game which allows you to choose between good and evil or would they have been better off going with something a bit more linear in the lines of Prototype? You decide true believer.
