So, Electronic Arts have finally announced in the last 30 minutes or so that Star Wars The Old Republic is going to be released this holiday season and hopefully will be making amends for that frightening Star Wars Holiday Special from 1978 and of course Jar Jar Binks.
The much anticipated MMO’s release has been announced in North America on December 20th and will be followed by a European release on December 22nd. So it seems that finally the force will be with us all over Christmas and potentially destroying families far better than any Boxing Day brawl ever could.
There are a whole ton of pre-order options over at the official website and pre-order bonuses depending on which shop you chose to buy SWTOR from including early access.
The all important subscription pricing has been announced too with price plans at $15 per month, $42 for three months and $78 for six months.
Also, while I’m here I’d like to take a moment to remind you that a Jedi is for life, not just for Christmas, now may the force be with you and have a great Christmas in advance as we’ll all be far too busy crushing rebel scum to actually celebrate Christmas the proper way once we switch the PC on.
