Amongst all of "those" websites, pressure groups and forums full of upset gamers threatening boycotts, there has been some news concerning Valve's upcoming zombie shooter Left 4 Dead 2. And it has all come at once, so here is a breakdown of it all for you to read, just because I'm nice like that. Look after the break to see just what is going on in the world of zombie genocide.

There are those that call him a visionary, there are those that call him a great legal mind and there are those that call him far less friendly things and wish him to be slapped across the face with an Atari 2600 console. Whichever side of the fence you're sitting on there is one man that raises his head every now and again to air his views on the evils of violent gaming, and yes he's up to his old tricks again.

Not content with facing mockery from satirical websites within the gaming community, lawyer Jack Thompson has hit out, not at Grand Theft Auto, which he dubbed a “murder simulator” and arguably foolishly blamed for the deaths of two police officers and a 911 dispatcher in Alabama back in 2003, but this time at social networking site Facebook.

Now, we all know that Facebook has groups on there mocking public figures and Jack Thompson isn't happy about groups aimed at him. There are literally hundreds of these groups aimed at him, some of which call for him to be disbarred while others more amusingly call for him to be slapped with retro consoles and even one with the offer of a $50 prize going to the first person to punch him in the face and film it.

The case, filed in Florida is for a staggering $40,000,000 and according to lawyers has no chance of success. Thompson said that the Facebook posts are dangerous and have caused him “great harm and distress.”

According to Parry Aftab, a Cyber-law attorney, who is also Executive Director of cyber-safety and help group Wiredsafety.org, the chance of success is virtually nil due to the U.S. Communications Decency Act makes it clear that companies like Facebook have no liability for what people do with their services. She said that "They are no more liable than the phone company would be for anyone who is calling in a ransom demand.”

What better than to warm you up with than tea, crumpets and other English things? Good old fashioned balls to the wall rock, that's what!

Yes, it's the first of the month which means I've been trawling the deep dark depths of Myspace and have bought you a new Song of the Month and this month it's US band Hydrovibe with their song “Fifteen Minutes”.

They've just released an album “Nothing left to Lose” and also have a single called “Fame” Both of which are storming hard edged and quite frankly sexy slabs of pure rock enjoyment. The song I have chosen is the first track from the album “Fifteen Minutes” and features crunchy riffs, pounding drums and sultry vocals to rival the likes of Lacuna Coil.

Hydrovibe have toured with the likes of Static X, Five Finger Death Punch, (Hed) p.e and Drowning Pool and also appeared at the Metal Edge Corporate Punishment Tour as well as now having music featured in the movie SAW III and now have an album mixed by Kevin Churko who has worked with the likes of Ozzy Osbourne and many more.

You can check them out at www.myspace.com/hydrovibe and of course you can hear them at www.myspace.com/djvillan69

Because a tiger coat and white fucking jump suit seemed like a pretty awesome idea when he woke up, thats why.

Early today down in the hidden caves of the Tokyo Game Show 2009 lair a few developers got together to discuss the possible future of Project Natal and how they felt about it as a change in gaming. The panel featured the likes of Hideo Kojima (Producer of the Metal Gear Solid Series), Keiji Inafune(Head Developer at Capcom) and Toshihiro Nagoshi (Producer of Yakuza and notably dressing like the lead in No More Heroes). Unfortunately none of these developers have any projects in the works yet as this was more of a brainstorming conference but the ideas were quickly flying.

Kojima said that he's excited about Natal because it has the possibility to change peoples' lifestyles -- he's most excited about seeing how it changes the lifestyle habits of gamers. He also talked a lot about the facial recognition software that would allow the games to monitor or sense the health level of the gamer (i.e. - are you sick? joyous? etc) and possibly adjust gameplay elements accordingly!

All three seemed to agree when Inafune stated that he doesn't think Natal is a fad or a transitional controller but a new wave of bringing life into the games. That Natal could really help deliver that experience to encompass a person fully and immerse them in the game. Nagoshi also mentioned that this might bring a new appreciation to games and of course open up the possibilities for new gamers both casual and hardcore to play simultaneously in enjoyment.

Essentially the trio continued on for a good solid hour about how much they loved Natal, the things that could come from it, and how it would effect gaming in the long run. We'll keep it coming with the TGS 2009 news as the event progresses throughout the week.

What do you mean I cant do news with just a sock on my junk? But I have to sing the title of this one!

As you all know, the PSP Go was announced as the next iteration of the moderately successful handheld system from Sony, and now they're trying to sweeten the deal by giving us some free stuff. That's right, for those of you Europeans that decide to make the switch to the PSP Go Sony is offering 3 free downloads! The bad news is that Sony really didn't make this simple for you because the way it works is you will need to register the PSP Go on the PlayStation Network, then log into PSN with your original PSP and a UMD in the drive, then you will be able to download a PSP Go theme that includes an e-mail voucher for three free downloadable games. Sounds a bit overly complicated right? Yeah we thought so too. Not to mention if you wanted to trade in your old PSP to use in your funding endeavor then the idea of these free downloads is out the window.

At this point in time we only know nine of the games that will be available for this program but there will be a total of 17 games when it fully launches. The known titles include: Killzone Liberation, SOCOM US Navy Seals Fireteam Bravo 2, WipEout Pure, Everybody's Golf, Echochrome, Buzz!: Brain Bender, Buzz!: Master Quiz, LocoRoco, and Patapon. The upgrade reward program will last from October 1st 2009 until March 31st 2010 so make sure to get your upgrade ASAP so not to miss out on this great deal. While an upgrade program has not been announced for the US, there's a good chance that one will be announced in the coming months.
