So you're a gaming parent? In a gaming infused console based world filled with GTA's and Gears of War you don't have much of an alternative when it comes to a "family gaming experience". Would I kid you when it comes to kid games? More after the break.

It has been announced that Bethesda will be releasing a new Fallout game next year called Fallout: New Vegas.
This is not some big expansion pack either -- incredibly, it seems that Bethesda has contracted Obsidian Entertainment to work on the stand-alone title, that is not a sequel to Fallout 3. It'll be made for the PC, the Xbox 360 and PS3, and will use Bethesda's graphics engine.
Obsidian Entertainment is made up of many gaming industry veterans, most notably, much of the design talent that worked on all-time great PC RPGs Fallout, Fallout 2, and Planescape Torment as Black Isle Studios. More recently, Obsidian Entertainment has been responsible for newer RPGs such as Knights of the Old Republic 2 and Neverwinter Nights 2, as well as the upcoming spy RPG Alpha Protocol.
Microsoft has officially released details on the new $400 elite unit, which comes with a 120GB Elite 360 with two games (Halo 3 and Fable 2), a 12-month Live Gold subscription, a free Netflix trial, and tokens for the Halo 3 "Mythic Map" and Fable 2 "Knothole Island" downloads.
This doesn't seem like a bad deal all around if you're looking to pick up a 360 or if you're looking to upgrade to the Jasper chipset.
