Fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series can breathe a sigh of relief today as the obscure successor to the franchise has finally made an appearance ending fears that it had all but dissolved into the radioactive wastes.

News screenshots have been placed on the official sites media section, giving us a glimpse of the current alpha-state project. Accompanying the screenshots is a complete briefing on what is currently in the game posted by a staff member on the official forums, found here

Electronic music pioneers Daft Punk have a new album coming out- and if you haven't heard it yet, you're missing out. You can catch it streaming live on GrooveShark and iTunes, four days before its release and it's definitely worth giving it a listen.

The first thing that strikes you is how utterly unpretentious it is. Jason Lipschulz, in his track-by-track review on Billboard, put it far better than I ever could:

"There's a point on "Doin' It Right," the penultimate track on Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories," where the album's utter lack of post-modern ambitions smacks the listener in the face."

Who would have thought you could get a nuclear core to stay put inside of a half-robotic doggy? And that it would explode if you blew said doggy's head off? Wingnut sure didn't think it was possible...Click the image or after the break to see today's episode.

TV and Movies

Snootchie Bootchies dear listeners. Kevin Smith, director of widely celebrated cult movies such as Clerks, Mall Rats, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Chasing Amy, announced a while ago on his facebook page that his first 137 page draft for Clerks 3 is ready. Specifically he wrote:

IT IS ACCOMPLISHED! CLERKS III, FIRST DRAFT! At 137 pages, it plays like THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK of what's now become the Clerks Trilogy. And I am SO in love with it. Pictured is the script with the clapboard we used on the original CLERKS. Both the old clapboard and the old filmmaker are ready to go back to Jersey for the last time...

There is no further information about Clerks 3, but Smith also wrote that if you happen to bump into him, you should ask him "How's CLERKS III coming?".

So, is it gaming news? Is it TV news? Is it both? Is it awesome? Of course it's awesome. SyFy have anounced this week that their series Defiance will be back for a second season which will begin filming a 13 episode series in Toronto this coming August. It's expected to air in 2014 and will continue the adventures that most of us at Split Infinity Radio have been salivating over for the past few weeks.

But that's not it for Defiance, Trion Worlds have just welcomed their millionth player in the MMO and have announced five DLC packs for the game, so expect plenty more hellbug stomping action in both the gaming and TV worlds.
